Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on Feb. 14, 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper announced the selection on Monday.
The game is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Jay-Z’s production company, Roc Nation, has handled the halftime production since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year extension to keep the role through 2029.
Under Roc Nation’s direction, recent shows have focused more on hip-hop and rap. Last year’s performance in Santa Clara, California, featured Bad Bunny alongside Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. The 2022 show in Los Angeles included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.
Other recent performers include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023. Despite his ties to the league and previous acts, Jay-Z has never played at a Super Bowl before. The 25-time Grammy winner is currently on tour.
The tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of his album “Reasonable Doubt” and the 25th anniversary of “The Blueprint.” The trip began in July with three nights at Yankee Stadium. It included two shows in London and one in Paris in September.
Jay-Z concluded his scheduled tour on Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those final dates serve as a preview for his upcoming performance at the same venue next year.
